Tuesday 31st March saw the biennial inspection of Sandbach School CCF.IMG_4166 (Large)

Group Captain John Lawlor, Chief of Staff Air Cadets visited the school to conduct the inspection. His day was spent meeting the cadets from Sandbach School and Sandbach High School.   He was escorted around the site by a senior cadet from each of the three sections, Navy, Army and RAF. Senior cadets had the opportunity to talk about their achievements within the CCF.

Group Captain Lawlor also conducted an inspection of an honour guard before taking the salute as the cadets marched past on the front of school.

After lunch the cadets got to show off their training activities. The RAF were impressive on the flight simulator, with two air traffic controllers each running a team of pilots. The Navy were in the swimming pool showing their practical skills both in and on the water. While the Army were outside in the howling wind patrolling in full camouflage, setting up a harbour area and conducting a section attack.

Despite the poor weather all went well and Sandbach School CCF successfully passed the inspection!

A big thank you must go to all the cadets who were great ambassadors for the CCF and their respective schools. I must also thank my team of officers and volunteers that support the unit throughout the year, they give so much to the cadets.
